Elect Bonnie Batchler As a 36 year resident and 16 year trustee of Pierce Township, I am excited to again seek re-election as your local government respresentative. My past experience has allowed me the opportunity to be involved in many township initiatives. My acomplishments over this period of time have yielded vast benefits to my fellow residents. Some might say that long time office holders are not of value and do not have fresh ideas. However, I contend that my deep and extensive experience is of great value. I have developed needed relationships with state, county and neighboring townships that can be leveraged into progress results for the township. I also have an extensive working knowledge of township operations, budgets and crtical services. My involvement with many committes and associations have given Pierce Township representation and recognition beyond our geographic boarders. I volunteered as an EMT for many years and know first-hand the requirements for a professional, first class fire department and life squad and I will continue to ensure that quality services will be provided to the township residents. I have done ride along's with police officers to get a better understanding of the potential dangers that they may encounter while performing their duties protecting the township residents. I will continue to be a strong proponent of well equipped police presence in our neighborhoods. I have assisted our Service Department in assesssing road culvert repairs and replacement. I have also done ride alongs with service personnel while on snow plowing assignments. I voted to bring back in-house mechanical repairs to all township equipment resulting in substantial tax payer savings. My background as a senior credit analyst and working trustee over the years I have developed the knowledge needed to make prudent decisions regarding how to maximize returns on resident's tax dollars. In the past I have challenged expenditures that were not in the best interest of the township and I will promise to do so when I am elected to represent you in the future.
